O King! • Like clay in the hands of the potter

come and save man, whom you formed from the dust!
The King who is coming, the Lord who is approaching, come let us adore him! That King has come down to our land to fill us with grace and peace. We have seen his glory, glory that he receives from the Father. He calls us to conversion to transform the clay from which we are made until we become a unique work of art.
The prophets had already announced it: "I am the clay, you are the potter, we are all the work of your hands" (Isaiah 64,8). Lord, this is the best way to recognize our King, molded over and over again by the merciful hands of the Father until we realize that we are children in the Son. "Behold, as clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel" (Jeremiah 18:6). How much love! The prophet says that if the potter's pot turned out badly, he would make it again so that the pot would look good.
Jesus, Cornerstone of the Church and desired by the peoples, help us to be builders of unity, love, justice and peace for all peoples.
From the smallness of our mud we proclaim: Great you are, Lord, and very worthy of praise! Great is your power, and your wisdom has no measure! And a man tries to praise you, little crumb of your creation... And it is you yourself who encourages him to find satisfaction praising you, because you have made us for yourself and our hearts are restless until they rest in you. (Saint Augustine, Confessions 1, 1, 1).
Come, Lord Jesus, extend your reign of justice and peace.
